It is a gloomy day here in St. Petersburg as we mourn yet another fallen officer who was shot and killed last night. This is the third officer to be killed in a matter of 30 days, in a city where no officer has been shot on duty in 31 years. Officer David S. Crawford, 46, was shot dead Monday night as he and another officer investigated a prowler report at a residence, according to the St. Petersburg Times. A massive manhunt is now underway for Crawford’s killer as many streets, schools, and businesses in the South side of St. Petersburg are shut down. It is a tragedy to say the least and we can only pray for his family as well as for ALL of the officers in the line of duty. We sincerely thank you for all that you do to keep our city safe.
